“Spiritual Awakenings” was borne through my own personal experience and a cycling journey travelling solo 450-kilometres through Cambodia. Starting in Siem Reap and following the Mekong River in the height of summer, the inspiration for writing filled my head as I cycled dirt tracks, barren rice paddies and buffaloes sleeping in mud puddles waiting for the rain. In 40-degree temperatures with dust in my eyes and down my throat, I felt completely free and oblivious to the sheer madness of what I was doing!
My body was cycling but my head was writing this book. Re-living memories of loss while being incredibly grateful for all that I had been given to help me through my pain. Witnessing abject poverty in the villages made me understand how much I had to live for and how much more knowledge I could pass on. I became so focused and driven by the sheer force of knowing that the knowledge and understanding of spirituality are of such great value. It gave me PURPOSE – it gave me WINGS.
My hope is that Spiritual Awakenings will guide you through your own journey in this demanding, rapid-paced, 21st Century world we live in. The dream is that my story, and those of my clients in the case studies, will help you recognise a kindred spirit; to inspire you to discover your own purpose here on earth. To heal.
